Born in Madison County, GA, on August 19, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Vernon C. and Reba McEwen Belk. Mrs. Adams was a member of Cornelia United Methodist Church and was the owner and operator of Nig’s Beauty Shop for over 60 years. She was also an avid bridge player and sports fan. She enjoyed baking cakes for her friends, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence David Adams; brothers, Elton Belk, Derwent Belk; and sister, Sibyl Deyarmin.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Dennis Cathey of Demorest; son and daughter-in-law, David and Sheila Adams of Alto; sister, Jackie Hart of Danielsville; sister-in-law, Laverne Belk of Danielsville; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
