Thomas Jack Riggs, Jr., age 82, passed away peacefully at his home in San Antonio, Texas on April 8, 2015. Jack was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 29, 1933 to Thomas Jack Riggs, Sr. and Lula Nora Lieck Riggs.

He was baptized as a youngster at Zion Lutheran Church on Cincinnati Ave. After graduating from Sam Houston High School, he attended Trinity University and the University of Houston. He began his career at Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in 1951, moved his family to Houston, TX for several years during the 1960's and retired in San Antonio as ad-valorem tax area manager in 1987.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the 1950's with Honorable Discharge. Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with his friends all across North America. Together, Jack and Nonie enjoyed numerous cruises and vacations while exploring various parts of the world. Throughout his life, he loved raising cattle on their ranch and was constantly working on a project as he was very adept at designing and building things for the ranch. He always made time for family and friends, lending a helping hand where needed. His influence and generosity was immeasurable. His zest for life, work and having fun was endless.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Lula Riggs. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Nonie Riggs; sister Mary Lou Taber and husband Earl of Adkins, TX; brother-in-law Arthur Ormsby and wife Marylin of Lubbock, TX; sister-in-law Betty Ormsby of San Antonio, TX; son Michael Riggs and wife Cindy of New Braunfels, TX; daughter Suzanne Chandler of Cedar Park, TX; three grandchildren Karissa Riggs, Nicholas Chandler and wife Crystal, and Stephanie Riggs; three great-grandchildren Meghan Sansome, Brody Chandler and Adrian Chandler; aunt Helen Lieck of San Antonio, TX; and a very large family of nieces, nephews and cousins.
