John M. Huckeby, age 72, of New Castle, Indiana, passed away Friday at ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, following an extended illness.
Born June 29, 1918 in Wayne County, Kentucky, he was a son of Richard Huckeby and Rachel Keaton Huckeby. He was retired from Chrysler Corporation, after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Wayne County and the United Auto Workers.
Survivors include his wife, Lovie; and a daughter, Wilma Pierce.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Violet and Wanda Sue Huckeby; and three brothers, Virgil, Alfred and Bud.
