Mrs. Ballard Buried Tuesday
Funeral service for Mrs. Mattie Banks Ballard, 84, were held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock the grave side in Magnolia Cemetery near Concord. The Rev. Wilson Walker officiated. Mrs. Ballard, the widow of the late John Harvey Ballard of Pike County, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.D. Williams on Lee Street in Barnesville. She was a native of Pike County, and a member of New Hebron Baptist Church in Pike. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. C.C. Armistead, Williamson; Mrs. J.D. Williams, Barnesville; and Mrs. T.H. Allen, Fitzgerald; three sons, Raymond, Griffin; G.H., Thomaston; and Charles, Barnesville; 13 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Haisten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
