Joy Jones Reed, 37, passed from this life on April 15, 2012, after a long battle with heart disease. She went to be with her Lord and Savior and her beloved "Daddy" and "Grandma". Joy was born September 21, 1974 in Wichita Falls to Leon and Doris (Stack) Jones.
Joy's children and grandchildren were the light of her life and gave her the strength she needed to fight her battle as long as she did. Her love of life and adoration for her family gave her the strength to get through the pain and tough times. She never met a stranger and accepted people with unconditional love and forgiveness when needed just as she knew her Savior did for her. Joy will be greatly missed by loved ones, but her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 4PM-5PM at Falls Funeral Home; a family visitation will be that same day from 6PM-8PM at #2 Shelly Circle. Services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Falls Funeral Home Chapel.
Joy is survived by her beloved husband John Reed, her mother Doris Jones, three children: Russell Jones, Shalena Craff, and Hayley Patterson, as well as four grandchildren: Cheyenne Coleman, Sarah Jones, Shaylynn Long all of Wichita Falls, and Brooklynn Smith of Midlothian, a sister Sandra Tressler of Wichita Falls, a sister Nina Bavero and brother Ozzie Benson of Springfield, Oregon, she also has Several aunts and uncles, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Leon Jones and her grandmother Cheryl Stack.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to help defray funeral expenses.
