PEORIA HEIGHTS, IL - Ross Joel McFarland, 82, of North Illinois Avenue died at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 1998, at his residence.
Born Oct. 7, 1915, in Good Hope to Silas and Cora Bland McFarland, he married Elizabeth Beaumont on March 7, 1966, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Richard of Good Hope; three daughters, Mrs. Michael (Elsie) Burkholder of Good Hope, Mrs. Thomas (Jeanette) Gronda-Kootsillas of Grosse Ile, Mich., and Mrs. Neal (Susan) Hughes of Honor, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
He was a farmer in the Good Hope area, retiring in 1960. He also owned and operated a service station in Good Hope.
Cremation will be accorded.
