GALVESTON — Burial services for Anna Mae Anderson Strain were held Friday, July 1, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Evergreen-Cahill Cemetery in Galveston under the direction of Malloy & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Strain was born in Galveston on November 19, 1916, and died April 24, 2005, in her hometown. She was cremated and her ashes were interred at her husband's gravesite. She was the wife of Julius L. Strain and the daughter of Charles Anderson, II and Annie Apffel Anderson. She was a lifelong resident of Galveston and a member of the Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a stepdaughter, Mary Strain Neas of Hitchcock; a brother, Bernard L. Anderson, of Galveston; nieces, Marjorie Anderson Henck of Galveston, and Patricia Anderson Richards of Superior, Montana; nephews, Paul R. Anderson of Riverside, California; and Edwin W. Anderson, Jr., of Flatonia, Texas; and other great nieces and nephews.

GALVESTON — Anna Strain, 88, of Galveston, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Gulf Health Care Center. She was born November 19, 1916, in Galveston, Texas and worked as a clerk for American National until her retirement in 1995. She was of the Christian faith. Anna is survived by her brother, Bernard Anderson, of Galveston.
