Gary Ray Creech, 60, “A Child Of The King” went home to be with Jesus Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Harlan App. Reg. Hospital. He was a hard working coal miner for 30 years. Gary was a member of the U.M.W.A. and a member of the Yocum Masonic Lodge # 897.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray Creech and Lena Wynn Creech; one brother, Roger Creech; and one sister, Norma Creech Thomas.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years Marsha Thomas Creech, Holmes Mill; four children, Ruthie Creech Caudill and husband, Danny, Closplint; Amy Creech Perkins and husband, Richie, Jonesville, VA; Carrie Creech Caudill and husband, Tom, Closplint; and Gary Ray Creech II and wife, Fonda Abner Creech, Holmes Mill; two sisters, Kelsey Creech Goodin, Hampton, OH; and Wanda Gay Creech Harper, Harlan, KY.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Cole Caudill, Rachel Caudill, Lake Caudill, Callie Perkins, Jace Perkins, Gage Caudill, Alexis Caudill, Brooklynn Caudill and Raylyn Creech; several special brothers and sisters, Murl Thomas, Delliah Hughes, Beatrice Eldridge, David Eldridge, Toy Thomas and Marty Thomas; very special mother-in-law, Ruth Thomas; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 5 until 9 PM at the Evarts Funeral Home with Masonic rites performed by the Yocum Masonic Lodge at 7 PM.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at 3 PM in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Donnie Thomas and the Reverend Frank Howard officiating.
Burial will follow in the Holmes Mill Cemetery, Holmes Mill, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
