She was born May 8, 1936, in Middlesboro, Ky., to Wheeler and Ethel (Ellison) Baker.
Bonnie had a passion for gardening and landscaping. She had quite the green thumb and was very particular about her flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, pets and especially her granddaughter.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Gary (Donna) Gilbert of Huron; and her granddaughter, Amanda L. Gilbert of Sandusky.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harry H. Gilbert, in 2008; one son in infancy, Terry L. Gilbert, in 1958; and two brothers, Jerry Ellison and Bill Baker.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, in Groff Funeral Home and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave. Sandusky. Private funeral services will be Wednesday, April 15, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
