Eleanor was born on May 30, 1920 at home in Harrisville, New York, a daughter of the late Frank and Florence Burr Burrows. She attended Harrisville School. Eleanor worked as a waitress in the early years, and met her future husband at the Route 12 Diner in Lyons Falls. On July 21, 1960, she married Thomas E. Hoskins in Chicago, Illinois. Together with her husband, the couple owned and operated Hoskins Dairy Farm until their retirement in 2007.
Eleanor enjoyed playing bingo, knitting crocheting and gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Thomas; nine children and their spouses; 39 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by a granddaughter, Annette Merry; two great-granddaughters, Keyarra Anderson and Annabelle Burriss; a brother, Elmer Burrows; and a sister who died in infancy.
