Gager, 72, formerly of Manchester, Mass., passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J.Mr. Gager was born April 4, 1942, in Boston, the son of John and Rachel (Clark) Gager. He was raised in Bozrah and New London, and graduated from Mount Hermon Academy in Mount Hermon, Mass. He was also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.Mr. Gager was an independent consultant, focusing on managing complex projects requiring compliance with exacting standards. Mr. Gager is survived by his wife of 17 years, Linda Mumford Gager.Mr. Gager was predeceased by his first wife, Kathleen Carbine.Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, 128 Norwich Ave., Colchester.
