George W. Britton, 88, of 508 Cayuga St. died Tuesday at the Loretto Heights Nursing Home, Oswego.
Mr. Britton was born in Williamstown and lived in Parish for several years before moving to Fulton.
He was employed by Rollway Bearing Co., Syracuse, and retired in 1974.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Fulton.
Mr. Britton had two sons: Bernard, who died in 1967, and Benedict, who died in 1973.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, the former Lena Sparhawk; one daughter, Betty Scott of Fulton; one sister, Gertrude Helmer of Fulton; four brothers, Vernon of Camden, Leland and Herman of Williamstown, and Donald of Scriba; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Harter Funeral Home, Parish, the Rev. Daniel Cramer officiating. Spring burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish.
