Clyde L. DeLong, 75, of LaHabra, Calif., died Monday, January 20, in a Brea, Calif., hospital, where he had been a patient about a week.

Mr. DeLong, the son of Francis and Jessie Shaw DeLong, was born Sept. 12, 1910, in Mound City and attended school here.

He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church of LaHabra, and was a former member of the Mound City Lions Club.

Before his retirement he had worked 25 years as a warehouseman for the Safeway Co. in California.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Elder DeLong of the home; two daughters, Betty DeLong of LaHabra and Charlotte Valencia, Valinda, Calif.; one brother, Leonard DeLong, Norwalk, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Della DeLong, Mound City; and a brother-in-law, Henry Elder, Bigelow.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 23, at the Coleman Mortuary in LaHabra.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 25, in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City, with the Rev. W.O. (Jack) Yates officiating.
