Lorena Voneta Gabbert, 83, passed away at 2:45 PM Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Culbertson long term care facility. Lorena was born to Ray and Alta (Unger) Lawson, on May 8, 1922 in Camden township, Schuyler County, Illinois. She married Kenneth Eldon Gabbert on January 6, 1940 in Fort Madison, Iowa. Kenneth was born August 24, 1914 in Hillsbro, North Dakota, the son to George and Leota (Ambrosius) Gabbert. They are survived by their 6 children. Two sons Larry Kenneth Gabbert wife Joyce of Camden, Il, Lyle Ray Gabbert wife Janet of Littlenton, Il, and four daughters, Linda Luetta and husband Ferris (Bud) Allen and Lela Irene and husband Terry Allen all of Camden, Il, Lois Marie and husband Charles Best of Pawnee, Il, and Louise Ann Vancil of Rushville,il. 8 grandchildren Lloyd Allen, Gilbert Allen, James Allen, Tela Allen, Tony Allen, Leslie Allen, Katrina Kirkham, Suann DeWitt and many great grand children. She was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was also the trustee of the church and a past president of the United Methodist Women Club. She also enjoyed crafts, oil painting, crocheting, embroidery, and quilting.
