Marc Davis, 59, of Rittman, died Thursday, April 9, 2015 following a courageous battle with cancer at Akron City Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 19, 1955 in Wadsworth to the late Robert C. and Ada M. (DeWalt) Davis and was a life resident of Rittman. Marc graduated from Rittman High School in the class of 1974 and married Debra Ball on September 30, 1978; she survives.

Marc has been employed by Smith Dairy in Orrville for 18 years and was a member of Teamster’s Local #348. He attended South Main Street Church of God and Wooster Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working in his yard and attending concerts. He also enjoyed war history, music and was an avid Buckeyes fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife are sons; daughters; sisters; and several brother and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, Wesley Ball.

Services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at South Main Street Church of God, 261 S. Main St., Rittman with Ministers Jeff and Chuck Ball officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the South Main Street Church of God from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
