Theresa Merkel-Hunter, age 80, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away at 10:27 p.m. Tuesday, (May 6, 2014) at the Golden Living Center in Newburgh, Indiana. She was born in Texas on July 28, 1933 to Gus and Frances (McGee) Greeson. She was preceded in death by her first husband Norbert Merkel, February 16, 1990. Her second marriage was to Ray Hunter. Theresa operated a child-care service in Jasper for many years. Theresa enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, Traveling and especially her family Surviving, Husband, Ray Hunter

Funeral services for Theresa Merkel-Hunter will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (May 10, 2014), at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow in St. Celestine Cemetery, Celestine, Indiana. The Rev. Eugene Schmitt will officiate.
