Before he died he told my brother that during the war he would tape bombs to his brother Lloyd's gun.One day he decided to ride up to the front(10 miles away) with an ambulance driver. After he got back...Lloyd yelled at him to never do that again(very dangerous). El said he was under fire the entire way back from the front...that the Germans targeted the ambulances. He said it scared him so badly he never went to the front again. He said what he saw on the front line was terrifying. (Unknown contributor)
