Mr. Williamson was born November 10, 1944, in Hogansville, son of the late Glen and Nedra Godbee Williamson. A retired life insurance agent, he was Baptist by faith and loved birds and bird watching.
Survivors include his wife, Gennie Williamson of McDonough; his children, Melinda Williamson and Cindy Strange, both of Monroe, Steven Williamson of McDonough, Jason Williamson of Rex, and Mandy Olsen of Locust Grove; sisters, Hazel Stitcher, Evelyn Higgins, and Shirley Ashbaugh, all of Hogansville; brother, Roger Williamson of Newnan; twelve grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 13, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Michael Cook will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday evening.
