Rockton. - Mrs. Lucinda Waite, 86 years old, a resident of this village for the past 66 consecutive years, died at her home here at 10:30 o'clock this morning. She was the last surviving member of the Robinson [Robertson] family, well known in this vicinity.
Mrs. Waite was born September 19, 1840, in Richfield, Ill. Thus she lived through the Civil War while still in her early twenties, so remembered well the local experiences during that conflict. Her husband E. Smith Waite, died 12 years ago.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Stella Hoover, Minneapolis, and two sons, Marvin and Bayard, Rockton. Funeral services will be conducted from the home at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by the Rev. C.W. Jaycox former pastor of the Rockton Methodist church, of which she was an active member. Burial will be in the Rockton cemetery.
