Amos "Junior" Reed, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Ardmore. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 13, 2015, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Gene Autry. Services under the direction of Griffin~Hillcrest of Ardmore.

Junior was born to Bob Toles Redford and Eleena (Parramore) Redford on July 1, 1924, in Denton County, Texas. He married Clara Wilson Reed in 1943 in Gainesville, Texas. Junior worked at Leers Aircraft Company and was a share cropper in Texas. He also worked at B & B Motors performing auto body restoration. After leaving B & B, he became self-employed, restoring and painting cars at his home. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing, whether in his quartet or in church. Junior was also a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church. In the final stages of his retirement, Amos was blessed to be cared for in the home of his loving son, Johnny and wife Evelyn, and Rochelle Reed. His family acknowledges them with great appreciation.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Clara, who passed away on Nov. 29, 1973, his parents, Bob and Eleena Redford, two daughters; Sandra Faye Reed and Millie Reed, two granddaughters; Tequilla AnCara McGee and Pamela Stacy Reed, and four great-grandchildren; Shannon Evonne McGee, Marquis LaShawn Brown, Justin Dion McGee, and Deztrie Zane Reed.

Junior is survived by his son, Johhny Reed and wife, Evelyn, three daughters and one son-in-law; Leola McGee, Theressa Walker, and Pearlie McGee and husband, Kenneth. Twenty-six grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons; Kenny McGee, Terrence Reed, E.M. McGee III, Joe Pickens, Brian McGee, and Reginald Thrash, Jr. Honorary bearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons. Flower bearers will be Ashley McGee, Jessica Stevenson, Jacoby Daniels, Nicole Brown, Tamara Reed. Honorary flower bearers will be all of his granddaughters.
