CECILIA - Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Felton Begnaud, 53, who died at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at the U.S. Public Health Hospital in New Orleans. Fr. Paul Thibodeaux officiated at the services, and interment was in the church cemetery.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Jane Leblanc of Cecilia: one brother, Warner Leblanc of Lafayette; three sisters, Mrs. Leo Bowen of Chalmette, Mrs. J.M. Sessac of Abbeville and Mrs. Carroll Theriot of Los Angeles, Calif.; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Paul Caillier of Cecilia. Mr. Begnaud's father was the late Adolph Begnaud of Cecilia.

Military services were conducted at graveside by an honor guard from England Air Force Base, Alexandria.

Pallbearers were Warner Leblanc, Danny and Alcee Caillier, Pat Bowen, Donald Guidry and Ronald Tauzin.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.

Note: Despite what was on his headstone (probably his last unit), he spent most of the war as a member of the 32nd Station Hospital (November 28, 1942 through July 3, 1945).
