Joyce McCrary, 57, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015. She was a faithful member of Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church where she diligently served as one of the church secretaries for over 30 years. She was a graduate of the Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1975. After high school, she received an Associates degree from Pensacola Junior College, and later obtained her Bachelors degree from Nova Southeastern University. At the time of her death, she was employed with Pepsi Co-Frito Lay, but has also worked for Cox Communications, First Data, and First Navy Bank. Joyce will be deeply missed and loved by many.She is survived by her caring parents, James and Louise Garrett; loving husband of 30 years, Eddie McCrary; devoted children, Angela (Jermaine) Mack and Garrett McCrary; siblings, Gregory (Michelle) Garrett and Sherry (Leonard) Gunner; grandchildren, Donovan and Cameron Mack; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.Visitation will be held from Noon to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Tracy Morton Memorial Chapel. The homegoing service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church.
