Retired cabinetmaker MAX R HAVILAND, 75, of Route 2 Hamilton died Friday morning in Evergreen Nursing Home Montpelier Ohio.

Mr Haviland was born Feb 27, 1907 in Pioneer Ohio son of Ward and Gertrude Heist Haviland.

He was a member of Forest Lodge, F&AM 239 Butler, the American Legion Post 202 Butler, a veteran of WWII, and a member of the Hamilton Fish and Game Club.

He was married September 20, 1929 in Butler to Golda Loomis. She survives.

Surviving besides his wife is a sister Mrs Howard (Kathleen) Blaine of Butler.

Graveside services were held Sunday at the Hamilton Cemetery with the Rev Ray Squibb officiating.

A military service was held by the American Legion Post Butler, and a Masonic service was held Saturday evening at the Wilson Funeral Home in Hamilton.
