She was one of only four students to graduate. Nellie "Myrtle" Lewis married Paris D. Lewis in 1895 in Shelby County, Indiana. They had three daughters together. Mary Edith Lewis (died at age 5), Hulda May Lewis Westerfield and Frankie Hazel Lewis Fagel.
