In 1873, Clara "Minerva" Miner Coyle was left a widow with four small children (forty-one years ago), but kept the family together and educated them by her own labor and unfailing trust in God. Samuel A. Coyle and Clara Minerva Miner Coyle had five children together (only three were living in 1914)

v. Nellie "Myrtle" Coyle (14925432) (Mrs. Paris D. Lewis) from Shelbyville, IN.
b. June 30, 1872 d. January 22, 1949. It is known that Nellie "Myrtle" Coyle lived in Geneva, Indiana (Adams County) in 1891 because she graduated from high school there (Wabash Township Public School). She was one of only four students to graduate. Nellie "Myrtle" Lewis married Paris D. Lewis in 1895 in Shelby County, Indiana. They had three daughters together. Mary Edith Lewis (died at age 5), Hulda May Lewis Westerfield and Frankie Hazel Lewis Fagel.
