Dennis E. Crow, age 70, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

Dennis was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Walter P. Crow and Ruby Ball Crow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Crow; and a special niece, Kim Crow Russum.

Mr. Crow graduated from Elizabethton High School in 1962 and Tusculum College in 1989. He retired from Sprint, after 25 years of service as an equipment supervisor and was of the Baptist faith. He was a United Air Force veteran, having served in Germany.

Survivors include his wife Gail Collins Crow, of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Burleson and husband Rick, Elizabethton; two granddaughters, Haley and Macey Burleson, both of Elizabethton; three sisters, Betty Stout, Shirley Kyte, and Nancy Hodge, all of Elizabethton; and a brother, Fred Crowe #239088739, Butler. Several nieces and nephews, as well as a special friend, Tom Hankal, also survive.

A graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Dennis E. Crow will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery, with Dr. Joe Sorah, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Carter County Honor Guard. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be his fellow employees of the Telephone Company. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:15 AM on Monday.

Friends may visit and sign the register book at Tetrick Funeral Home at their convenience; or at the residence of a daughter, Jennifer Burleson, 1573 Bristol Highway or at his residence, at any time.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the American Cancer Society, C/O Lou Cooter, 415 Washington Avenue, Elizabethton, TN 37643; or to the American Heart Association, 3101 Browns Mill Road, Johnson City, TN 37604.
