Carol Terry, 75, of Topeka, passed away Feb 24, 2010, at a local hospital. She was born on Oct. 1, 1934, in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Carson and Ida Sinclair Swafford. She had worked at KNI for 35 years, having just retired in Sept of 2009. She very much enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Debbie, and her dog, Krissy. She loved shopping, going out, and playing Wii.
She is survived by a daughter, Deborah (Billy) Harris; sister, Virginia Newsome; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and six stepchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John Terry; daughter, Sonia Rae Gordon; and two sisters, Beulah Supple and Wilma Schmidtberger.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 on Monday, Mar. 1 at Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel. Burial will follow at Topeka Cemetery. Carol will lie in state after 3:00 on Sun. Feb. 28, with the family receiving friends from 5:00-7:00 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American
