Sarah Ruth McDaniel. 80, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
A native of DeKalb County, Alabama, she has been a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was the daughter of the late William and Jewell Clark. She was a member of the Calvary Memorial Baptist Church and was the wife of the late Rev. William O. "Bill" McDaniel, Sr. and was also preceded in death by a brother, James B. Clark and a sister, Imogene McSpadden.
Survivors include her son, William O. McDaniel, Jr.; daughter, Michelle McDaniel both of Ooltewah; grandsons, Bryce McDaniel and Kyler Brewer; granddaughter, Brittney Eldridge; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas McDaniel, David McDaniel, Hayden Brewer, Aubrey Eldridge and Adelynn Eldridge; brothers, Norman E. (Pat) Clark, Chattanooga, Carl Clark, Ringgold, GA, Larry (Jennifer) Clark, Henagar, AL; sister, Sue (Jerry) Johnson, Georgetown. TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Eric Greeson officiating. Interment will be in New McDonald Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
