On the eighth of August, 1913, proud parents Joseph S. Roberts and Anna Letitia Douglas gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, they named him Preston Jay Roberts. He was the third of seven children born to this union.

He attended Cedar View Elementary, and Douglas High School in Arkansas. He furthered his education by attending Vocational Schools in Los Angeles, California.

He served in the United States Army and achieved an Honorable Discharge. He was a World War II war veteran.

He Acceplted Christ at an early age and kept the teachings of Jesus close to his heart, throughout his life. He previously joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Arkansas. When he moved to Los Angeles, California he united with the Victory Baptist Church.

Those left behind to cherish his precious memories; are four sisters, Allie Mae Ricks and husband Eola, Velma Goodman and husband Albert, Theresa Evans, and Sue Williams and husband Sidney; devoted and dedicated caretaker Ellen Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
