Funeral will be at Village Chapel for Peggy Mackey Thrasher, 80, Gadsden, who died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001. Burial in Forrest Cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home, Alabama City, is in charge. Mrs. Thrasher was a member of Twelfth Street Baptist Church. She was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 32 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vann E. Thrasher; parents, Bedford and Amanda Mackey; brothers, Hoyt, J.B., Gene, David and Emmett "Shorty" Mackey; and sisters, Mae Hollingsworth and Dixie Daniel. She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa (Randy) West; granddaughters, Amanda West, Fort Worth, Texas, and Peggy Ann West, Columbus, Ga.; brother, Bill Mackey, Gadsden; sister-in-law, Lola Mae Short, Gadsden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
