Tupelo – Mrs. Callie Pearl Crouch Hale, 74, died unexpectedly, Monday, January 21, 2013 at her residence in Tupelo. She was born July 30, 1938 in the Potts Camp Community of Marshall County, MS to James Thomas Crouch and Vernie Ash Crouch. She graduated from Potts Camp High School where she was a basketball player. She married William Floyd Hale on June 15, 1974 and they enjoyed 38 years together. A faithful member of the Gloster Street Church of Christ, she was a master homemaker. Callie loved her home, her yard, gardening, all God’s creation especially lakes, rivers and ponds where she could fish, working crossword puzzles and watching football games with her husband. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother, known affectionately as Mee Mee and Grandmother.
Survivors include her husband: Floyd Hale of Tupelo; 6 children, Janie Cobb (Pete) of New Albany, MS, Debbie Mitchell (David) of Pound, WI, Bill Hale (Carolyn) of Sevierville, TN, Vaughn Hale of Mathiston, MS, Cindy Emerson (Jimmy) of Murray, KY, and Louis Cervantes (Suzanne) of Tupelo, MS; sister, Linda Algee of Kossuth, MS, and brother, David Crouch, of Potts Camp, MS. 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 children, Linda Hale and Steve Hale, grandchild, Melissa Knight; 3 siblings, Evelyn Green, Mary Russell, and Thurman Crouch
