HENSON, RUBY MAE - passed away September 25, 2014, two days after her 86th birthday. She was born in Winona, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Ruby Smith; and sisters, Madeline and Frances. She is survived by loving husband of 59 years, Major William "Bill" Henson, USMC retired; son, Jack (Jayne); daughters, Gail Fersner (Sonny) and Pam Coleman (Tom); grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer Thompson (Matt), Jessica Fosbinder (Daniel), Christopher Coleman (Pamela); great grandchildren, Shelby, Ethan, and Norah Thompson, Madeleine Mae, and Anderson Fosbinder; sister, Virginia Malcuit; and brother, Ruben Smith. She was full of life and devoted herself to her family and her church. Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 27th, from 2:00 - 4:00 at Powell Presbyterian Church. A private interment will be held at a later date. The memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m., with the Rev. Jonathan Warren officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Powell Presbyterian Church, 2910 W. Emory Road, Powell, TN 37849, or to the Marine Corps League Auxillary, MCLA P.O. Box 145, Knoxville, TN 37901.
