Frank was born in Kreis Mogilno, Providence Posen, Prussia Germany. He married Rosalia Jasiszka (Jaloszynska) around 1871 in Poland Germany. They immigrated to the United States with their children, Agnes and Mary. Also Wojciech who was born in the Caribbean on the way to America.

They lived on Weimar Street in the City of Buffalo, New York with their children: Agnes, Mary, Wojciech, Stanislaus, Anne, Joseph, Matilda, Cecil and Catherine. The area was known as 'Kaisertown'.
