The daughter of Clayton B. & Bessie (Walcher) Lauer, she was a homemaker and teacher's aide for the Buffalo School System for 15 years. She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1956 and attended Panhandle A&M College in Goodwell and the Beech Beauty School in Enid.
Mrs. Waugh, was a member of the First Christian Church, Christian Women's Fellowship and the Red Hat Society.
She married Leland Waugh on June 1, 1973 in Walters.
Her parents and a grandson, Sy Herd, in 1996 preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of the home, three sons, a brother, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, at the Buffalo First Christian Church followed by interment in the High Point Cemetery.
