John H. "Jack" Cary, age 81, late of Lockport, passed away peacefully Monday, April 6, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Chicago, living in Lockport for the last 18 years. Jack worked in the car industry for many years retiring in 2003.

A very proud United States Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Korean War; he was in the 1st Recon Unit, was a sniper and marched in the Rose Bowl Parade. He received the National Defense Medal and China Service Medal during his time of service. He was a very devoted man of Christ, loved his country and cherished spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his wife, Angela (Cavallone) 1995; and parents, Armstead and Janet (Berry) Cary.

Survived by his devoted children, Lynette Cary and John (Maria) Cary; three adored grandchildren, Leah and Jimmy Bavirsha, and Joshua Cary and a brother David (Janet) Cary. Many nephews, nieces, friends and his church family also survive.

Services will be held Friday, April 10, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel, 1105 E. 9th St., Lockport. Interment Bethania Cemetery, Justice. Visitation Thursday, April 9, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
