On the morning of April 1, 2015 Betty Darlene Voorhees Woerner Peterson Campbell passed away peacefully at her home.

Betty was born in Canton, IL on Dec. 29, 1929 to John and Viola Voorhees. She attended school in Canton and moved to Tremonton, UT in 1946, where she met and married Sam Woerner. He passed away in 1979. She later married Peter Peterson, he passed away in 1993. In May 2005 she married Robert Campbell, who has loved and taken care of her until her death.

Betty was a lifelong member of the Tremonton Methodist Church, a member of the Ladies Card Club and the McKinley Elementary School PTA. She was a loving mother, homemaker and friend. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, bird watching, gambling and traveling with Bob. Betty loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Sam Woerner and Peter Peterson and a sister, Irene Sale

Betty is survived by her husband, Robert Campbell; Brother, John Voorhees; Children, Constance (John) Ward, Ron (Leslie) Woerner, Steven (Lori) Woerner, Crys (Jerry) Deatry, and Tami (Brent) Deakin. She has 29 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.

Our family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and aides from Intermountain Hospice, Dr.’s Rod Merrell and Todd Miller, her friend and caregiver Mavis, for all of the love and care for Betty these last 3 years.

Funeral services for Betty will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E.-Tremonton) with viewings held Monday evening, April 6, from 6-7:30 p.m. and prior to the service on Tue. from 9:30-10:30 a.m., both at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery.
