VALLEY - Mrs. Frances Gilson Fullerton, 98, of Valley died Monday, Dec. 29, 2014.

Mrs. Fullerton is survived by her sisters, Louis Gilson, Evelyn Gilson and Winnie Bullock; grandchildren, Leah Ann Merritt, Karen Fullerton and Greg Fullerton; great-grandson, Brent Merritt; a daughter-in-law, Judith Fullerton; and many nieces and nephews.

Born in Harris County on Dec. 2, 1916, to the late Ira Ezekiel Gilson and Martha Harris Gilson, Mrs. Fullerton was a long time member of River View Baptist Church. She loved gardening, quilting and cooking, but her greatest love was her family. Mrs. Fullerton was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Heflin Fullerton; her son, Noel Fullerton; brothers, Eldridge Gilson, Marvin Gilson, John Gilson and Terrell Gilson; and her sisters, Sara Howard and Virginia Bennett.

A private graveside service was held on Saturday, Jan. 3, at Fairview Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Pate officiating.
