Sandra L. "Sandi" Vaughn, Galesburg Chapel 68, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 3:37 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born September 29, 1946 in Galesburg to Lenne Ward and Gertrude Freeman Wallace. She married David J. Vaughn September 1 1995 in Galesburg. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Michele (and Kevin) Brentise of Monmouth, Illinois and Laura A. Neel of Galesburg; a brother, Lenne (and Debbie) Wallace; a son-in-law, Dan Quismondo of Omaha, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two nieces; two great neices; and one great nephew. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dawn Quismondo.
Sandra helped with interaction in the community for mental health. She worked for Galesburg Research Hospital, Phoenix Industries and Bridgeway, all in Galesburg. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1964. She enjoyed collecting Christmas figurines.
Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of her life will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family or the American Cancer Society.
