She was employed as a secretary for the Redford, MI School System for over 17 years, a job that she enjoyed very much. Katherine enjoyed golfing and with her late husband was a member of the Inverness Golf and Country Club. She liked to travel, seeing new places and meeting people; was a very vivacious and outgoing woman.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Robert (Nancy) Holmes, Redlands, CA and William Holmes, Palm Springs, CA; grandchildren Ryan and Lyndsey and great-grandchildren Lucas, Ayden, Raegan and Ryker. She was preceded in death by her first husband Samuel and her second husband Howard as well as all of her siblings, two brothers and three sisters.
