Josetta Spatchek Brey, age 88, a Manitowoc resident, died early Thursday morning, December 26, 2013 at St. Mary's at Felician Village, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand - 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc.
Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
Josetta Brey was born September 26th , 1925 in Maple Grove township. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Delia Kleiber Spatchek.
Josetta grew up on a farm near Brillion and graduated from Brillion High School.. She married Joseph Brey in 1947 and together they had 5 children. Josetta worked at Holy Family Hospital as a ward clerk and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. She was a member of the VFW Auxillary and of St Francis of Assisi Parish.
Survivors include her children, Roger (Kathy) Brey, Susan (Gordon) Kmetz, James(Eileen) Brey, Bonnie (Bill) Lenberg, and Patti Piaskowski.
Ten grandchildren survive her, Mike(Amy) Brey, Sarah (Ty) Larsen, Andrea (Chad) Hardwick, Zachary Kmetz, Jacob Kmetz, Joshua(Katie) Brey, Megan Brey, Matthew (Katie) Brey, Joseph Piaskowski, and Jack Piaskowski. Great-grandchildren include: Cassidy, Cody and Ella Larsen.
Skylar and Dracen Brey. Emily Brey. Cole and Caleb Hardwick. Josetta is survived by a sister Elaine Neinhaus, brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Angie Spatchek, and brother-in-law, Ed Spurney. Nieces and nephews and many friend also survive Josetta.
In addition to her parents and husband, Josetta was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold, Rolland, Elmer; sisters, Cecilia, and Mary Ann;
sister-in law, Clara Spatchek, and brothers-in law, Ellsworth Neinhaus and Edward Keller.
