(March 29, 1925 - April 7, 2015)

Ellen Ford, 90, of Farmington, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Fairmont Regional Medical Center. She was born March 29, 1925, in Owings, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Toth Soos.

She was a retired factory worker, having worked for Drulane Industries for many years. Ellen’s family was the center of her life, and she loved cooking, embroidery, crosswords and word search puzzles, working in her flower garden, and talking on the phone, which enabled her to keep contact with her friends and loved ones.

Survivors include her 6 children: Francis M. Ford, Jr. of Granby, MI, Mary Ellen Hall and husband Herman of Mineral Wells, Elizabeth P. Courtney and husband Richard of White Hall, John R. Ford and wife Patricia of Farmington, Frederick A. Ford of Farmington, and Patrick V. Ford and wife Sharon “Darlene” of Sycamore, PA, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a special friend Roberta Hoy of Mannington.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Francis Marion Ford, Sr., a grandson: Shawn M. Wilfong, and 2 sisters: Margaret DeMarco and Elizabeth Davoli.

Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Scott Hall officiating. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
