Jacob S. Lindemuth, Jr., 90, of Mount Joy, died Saturday at St. Anne's Retirement Community. He was the husband of the late Mildred Mowrer Lindemuth who preceded him in death in 2009. He was born on the family farm on June 6, 1924 to the late Jacob S. Sr. and Lottie Lindemuth and worked there until his retirement. He was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marietta and belonged to the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, particularly rabbit hunting. He also enjoyed traveling to Potter County with his late wife Mil. The last of his family, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jay, Roy, Dorothy, Betty and Florence.
Funeral services will be held at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1290 River Road, Marietta PA 17547 on Thursday, April 9, 2014 at 1:00pm with the Rev. Traci Glover officiating. Interment will follow in Maytown Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. If desired, contributions to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jake's memory would be deeply appreciated.
