Fannie “Jani” (Amburgey) Miles, age 51, of New Paris, OH, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation – Greenfield. She was born on August 9, 1963 in Columbus, OH as the daughter of M.C. Amburgey and Fannie (Souder) Amburgey Cole. Jani received her nursing degree from the University of Central Florida. She married Jerry L. Miles on August 18, 2012 in Greenville, OH.

She worked as an LPN in Florida for many years. Mrs. Miles was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Greenfield. She loved fishing, gardening, her church, and spending time with her family.

Jani is survived by her husband, Jerry Miles of New Paris, OH; mother, Fannie Cole of Greenfield; sons, Charles (Kerri) Low of Knightstown, Shane Miles of Hollandsburg, OH, and Corey Miles of Celina, OH; siblings, Tony (Sherry) Amburgery of Carthage, IN, Roxanne (Robert) Hawkins, Cindy Krell, Veda (Jim) Smith, and Donna (Michael) Miles all of Greenfield; and eight grandchildren, Kaylie, Gavin, Jeremiah, Deseray, Preston, Carson, Dakota, and Tiara. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Cole; biological father, M.C. Amburgey; and brother, Keith Cole.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 1202 E 5th Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Pastor Joseph Riggs will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
