Jerry Dean Beckfield was
born August 3, 1955 to Pauline
(Grice) and Walter W. Beckfield
in Storm Lake. He was raised in
the Storm Lake area, graduating
from Albert City-Truesdale
High School in 1973.
After graduation, Jerry
attended The Minneapolis
School of Communication Arts,
earning a degree in photography,
winning numerous photography
awards as he pursued
his career. He was a past president
of the Minnesota Professional
Photographers Association.
In addition to his photography,
Jerry also worked in sales
management and in retail settings.
He was recently
employed at Fidelity Building
Services in Brooklyn Park and
worked part-time in St. Louis
Park as a custodian.
In his spare time, Jerry
enjoyed practicing his photography
skills, listening to music
and reading. He was a free spirit
who took great pleasure in
motorcycle riding. Jerry was
loved by his family and friends
and will be missed daily.
Jerry is survived by his mother,
Pauline Sansen of Truesdale;
his brother Gary and wife Sue
Roberts of Sioux City; a sister
Norma Jean (Beckfield) and
husband Gary Vecnhuis of
Albertville, Minn.; four nephews
and three nieces; grandnieces
and grand-nephews;
and many other relatives and
friends.
Preceding Jerry in death
were his father, Walter W. Beckfield
and an infant brother
Robert W. Beckfield.
