HARTNETT – Norbert M. "Ike" 80, 801 Vickroy Ave., died May 18, 1986 at Lee Hospital. Born Dec. 2, 1905, in Johnstown, son of William W. Sr. and August C. (Hessler) Hartnett. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Earl F., William H. Jr and Thomas; sister, Angie; and stepgrandson, Timothy. Survived by widow, former Esther H. James, and stepsons, Richard J., married to former Dolores Napotnik, and John W., married to former Mary Kay Speicher, both of Johnstown; also nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Brother of James J., married to former May Seale; Walter R., married to former Mary Rose Melvin; and Charles R., all of Johnstown; George, married to former Loretta Wendell, Melbourne, Australia; Marie E. Toolan, Elroy, Ohio; Dorothy, wife of George Kuckenbrod, and Grace E., wife of Fred Just, both of Johnstown; and Virginia R., wife of Edward Fink, York. Member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Lifetime member of Upper Yoder and Ferndale volunteer fire companies. Retired employee of Johnstown Plant Bethlehem Steel Corp. World War II veteran, served in China, Burma and India theaters. Was manager for 10 years of shuffleboard club in Bonita Springs, Fla. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, where Rosary will be recited Monday evening. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew's, the Rev. Msgr. Joseph H. Fleming. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
