Mrs. Walder died at 4:36 p.m. Friday at Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and a retired teacher and principal in the Cairo Public Schools. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving are a brother, J. Will Peterson of Kemp, Texas; five nephews; two nieces; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Walder; a sister; and a brother. Her parents were John W. and Goldia Davis Peterson.
