Mary married Carl on June 4, 1944 in Baltimore, MD while Carl was in the Navy. Mary was an exceptional cook and loved preparing meals for people with hearty appetites and was legendary for her coconut cream pies and cinnamon rolls. Mary was an outdoors person and an avid gardener who enjoyed sharing her produce with friends and neighbors. She loved fishing and especially floating Beaver Creek which she did the last time on her 61st birthday. She made many beautiful quilts that she gifted to friends and family. In addition to being a homemaker and helpmate, Mary worked for many years at the Forsyth Super Market before she began farming full-time on Swan Creek and later near Bradleyville. She was a loving and caring person and her top priority was always her family. Following Carl’s death, Mary volunteered as a “Pink Lady” at Skagg’s Hospital in Branson for ten years and the Thrift Shop in Forsyth. She also very much enjoyed sharing time with her friends and relatives at various events. In March 2009, Mary moved to Arkansas to be closer to her family.
