Services for Floyd "Buddy" Russell, 82, Nassau Circle, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Howard H. Willen and the Rev. Paige S. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville is in charge of arrangements.

He died at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long illness.

A native of Hopkinsville, he was born Sept. 30, 1927, the son of the late Bailey Floyd and Lillie Mae Hopper Russell. He had worked for 41 years as a meat cutter at Giles Market and for six years at Holiday Park Food World. He was a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Russell; a brother, Bill T. Russell, and a sister, Peggy R. Jarnagin, both of Hopkinsville.
