Services for Ivory Jones, 93, Hopkinsville, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brooks Haven Memorial Funeral Home with the Carston A. Shanklin officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. She died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Pinecrest Manor of natural causes. A native of Hopkinsville, she was born Aug. 24, 1912, the daughter of the late Lucian and Eliza Spurlin. She was a homemaker and a member of Freeman Chapel CME Church. Her husband, John Oliver Jones, preceded her in death. A son, John L. Poindexter II, also preceded her in death. Survivors include four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
