A native of Glasgow, Ky., she was born May 27, 1925, the daughter of the late Hick Whitney and Margie(Burrus)Whitney.
She was a member of True Gospel Church of God in Christ, where she was the head of the fundraising committee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur William Day, and four sons, Harold Eugene Day, Donald Conrad Day, William B. Day and Robert Joseph Day.
