My great-grandmother was born in the Parsonstown, Tullamore, Birr, Offaly County, Ireland Workhouse.Her Mother was Bridget Hickey (m- Delaney)-brought to the workhouse abt age 13 in abt 1863. Her Father was Michael Hickey. Mary had 12 siblings. Following the death of her father, (and when her youngest sibling Agnes was a under abt a year old), she came to the USA. I found her in the Ellis Island Records

I WISH i could have known her, He had a very difficult life in Ireland, her passage here, and losing her first husband within a year of their marriage.
