My great-grandmother was born in the Parsonstown, Tullamore, Birr, Offaly County, Ireland Workhouse.Her Mother was Bridget Hickey (m- Delaney)-brought to the workhouse abt age 13 in abt 1863. Her Father was Michael Hickey. Mary had 12 siblings. Following the death of her father, (and when her youngest sibling Agnes was a under abt a year old), she came to the USA. I found her in the Ellis Island Records

Her 1st Marriage was to Thomas Corrigan b Oct 1874 born in Longford, Ireland, and he Naturalized in 1898). They were married 17 Feb 1901, Thier daughter Mary Margaret Corrigan was born Nov 1901, and Thomas Passed away 6 Feb 1902.

Until abt 1911, Mary and her daughter lived in Manhattan, NYC, NY

In 1911, Mary Corrigan(m-Hickey) married Joseph Goodheart. Together they raised my nana Mary Corrigan in Jersey City, Hudson County, NJ.

Mary (m- Hickey) is buried under the name Goodheart 26 Sept 1944

I WISH i could have known her, He had a very difficult life in Ireland, her passage here, and losing her first husband within a year of their marriage. All i can do now is find what i can, so other family members may be able to find her. And Beleive Me , finding her in records was Not that easy. As All ancestry researchers quickly find out.
